Human Resource departments in the Financial Services sector have long struggled with the appropriate performance management of an employee, as demonstrated in efforts to cultivate and retain talent. If the perceived value of an employee is eliminated and focus is put on analyzing all the underlying data available (combined with external sources), a predicted value may provide a more useful measure for overall retention and ultimately employee satisfaction. Big Data will allow Human Resource departments to derive a predicted value. Instead of reporting and reacting on human capital data, Big Data and Business Intelligence will guide firms to predict winning teams and to find value from undervalued employees.
